About Sierra Leone Association Utrecht
Sierra Leone Association Utrecht(SLA UTRECHT) is the umbrella organization of Sierra Leoneans living in Utrecht and environ. We as Sierra Leoneans and friends have come together to strengthen unity, solidarity and the promotion of our common values within the Dutch society.

Our Community
Membership is open to all Sierra Leoneans irrespective of their tribe, color, status and religious background. We have a large membership and affiliations with other Sierra Leonean unions and Dutch institutions.
Background History
The organisation was founded on the 24th September 2004 at Java street by few pioneers including John E.S. Kargbo, David Bangura, Elisabeth Bangura, Tamba Moisay and others. The main aim of forming the organisation was to bring Sierra Leoneans together and help to integrate them into the Dutch society.

Sierra Leone Cultural Day & Annual BBQ 2026
Sierra Leone Association Utrecht (SLAU), in collaboration with Dream Chaser Organisation, is organising a Sierra Leone Cultural Day and Annual BBQ.
The event will feature free food and drinks, a book launch, music, cultural activities, and more.
